From Struggle To Purpose
As a former troubled youth who went on to serve in the United States military, our founder knows how close many young people come to life-changing harm. Curt Green Rec Center was created so Meridian youth have a safe place to learn, grow, and choose a better path.
Veteran-Led, Community-Grown Leadership
When he returned home as a United States veteran, trained in First Aid and CPR, he recognized familiar dangers on Meridian's streets. Instead of turning away, he chose to lead, building Curt Green Rec Center as a safe, disciplined, and welcoming space grounded in respect, structure, and accountability.
Building A Different Future Together
Every sports drill, tutoring session, and mentorship conversation at Curt Green Rec Center carries the founder's promise to protect and guide Meridian youth. Here, young people gain structure, trusted role models, and steady encouragement that keep them alive, in school, and steadily moving toward graduation, careers, and healthy, independent lives.
Our Purpose, Promise, Future
Born from a former troubled youth turned U.S. Veteran, Curt Green Rec Center in Meridian stands as a safe youth services home. Through structured learning spaces, mentorship, tutoring, sports, creative arts, and life skills, we help youth ages 8-18 stay alive, safe, and focused on graduation and brighter futures.
